Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer: Tom is a miscreant. He is a very clever little boy and has many interesting ideas to outsmart the other boys. Tom's motivation is mostly to have fun. He wants to be a good kid, but the restricting environment of church in school urge him to get into more trouble than he should.

Huckleberry Fin: Huck Fin is a star to the local boys. Everyone looks up to him because he is such a bad boy, and he has much more freedom than any other of the boys. Huckleberry does not have to school or church. His motivations are to defeat boredom. He has no real goals in life. Huck's dad was a drunk and never spent any time with him.His dad has just recently ran off and Huck doesn't think he is coming back. Huckleberry is a miscreant just like Tom and gets in all the trouble that he does.

Becky Thatcher: Becky is a good student. She is also new to town and when Tom sees her his heart jumps into his throat. She does not get into much trouble even when she is around Tom. She is motivated to be good in school and church.

Sid: Sid is the "good boy". He is the model son of the family that Aunt Polly know will always obey. He is also sure to tell his Aunt whenever Tom is being mischievous. He is good in school and chruch, and always on his "best" behavior. He is motivated to always impress his aunt and make everyone proud of him.

Muff Potter: Muff is the town drunk, and the town clown. Nobody expects very much of him, so he doesn't give them much. He doesn't have very many friends, but the ones he does have are not very good one, for example Injun Joe. Muff is also very impressionable, he doesn't really think for himself so he can be taken advantage of very easily. HE doesn't really have any motivations because all he is is a drunk and has no real goals in life.
